Our Northcote high performance renovation extension project evolved significantly as covid price rises took hold, and energy prices started to ramp up.
The project involved demolishing the existing rear extension and adding a new high performance extension. We adapted the front rooms with extended levels of insulation and added an interior wall wrap to keep the entire envelope airtight.
Heat recovery ventilation was added. The north facing windows were carefully calibrated to allow winter sun to penetrate deep into the living room. The result is a beautiful functional home.
